I’m not sure when it dawned on me that I’m growing up.... I’m not known for LOVING change, I guess in a way we all have to grow up someday. We finish school and make new friends, and lose others, We think in a way that the world is at our feet and the possibilities unnumbered. In a way It is the truest thing ever spoken and at the same time it seems more like a jest. We move forward in this life and our small years experience, to conquer the Worlds limits. Unfortunately It has occurred to me that We warriors don’t relay on the judgment , wisdom or the down falls of the elders around us. We proclaim in our proud voices “that will never happen to ME!.” OR “THEY just don’t see the light.” ect. ect.. ect.... But when it comes down to it, the only ones that understand what we face or even what we go thru, is most likely those that stand guard over us as children. Instead of listening or heeding their advice we make our own way thru life and dealing with “OUR” problems and end up going in circles. Like that of a record, and the groves that produces it’s music... in our case we seem to make a mess of it , sounding like every beautiful song that we have ever heard be played backwards. A man I met when I was about 12 said it this way,

“When we are the ages of 5-7 our daddies Know EVEVERYTHING we need to know..,

Then we are 8-12 and ‘My dad knows a lot’...

13-14 ‘yeah MY Dad thinks he knows every thing,’

15-? ‘My dad, what does HE know?

Then you have kids, and problems and you find out he was right all along!”

Like my mom said “Time waits for no man.” I guess you could sum it up and say it honestly we missed something from somewhere, maybe its Respect, or lack of listening skills, Honesty or even that of having a net working family that is there for you in the ways that our times “Label,” ‘old fashioned,’ ‘history’ or even forgotten. We missed it, the link I mean. We humans have forgotten those that possess wisdom, that have seen WW1 and 2 , those who remember a more peaceful and wholesome lifestyle. I’m not sure where I’ll find all my answers for every problem I face, all I can do is prepare for it and face it when I get there, and fall on my knees in prayer.
